When I think of Winter, I think of a Snowman! Since it doesn’t always get cold enough here to make one with real snow, these will have to do for now! 😉 They are very easy for kids to make using items you already have at home!

Materials needed:

Directions:

Cut out triangles with the orange construction paper.

Using a hole punch, punch out 6 – 12 holes (6 for each snowman).

Cut out a hat with the black construction paper.

Cut two 3 inch pieces of the 3/8 inch ribbon.

Girl Snowman

Run a bead of glue the length of the popsicle stick, leave about an inch on the bottom for a handle. Glue the cotton rounds starting at the base and slightly layering above each other.

Glue the eyes, nose and mouth.

Glue one piece of 3/8 inch ribbon down at an angle. Glue the other piece on top straight across.

Glue the mini pom poms on the edge of the scarf, down the tummy, and forming a flower. You can also use a hole punch with different color construction paper if you don’t have pom poms on hand! 🙂 Finish by adding a bow!

Boy Snowman

Start with the steps above to form the snowman and the face. Add a bowtie (or another scarf). Add mini pom poms on the tummy.

Glue the hat and three mini pom poms on the corner.

The completed snowmen! The possibilities are endless with how many different color combinations you could create! 🙂

This activity was very easy for my four year old daughter to complete as well!

She loved the way they came out and enjoyed playing with them as puppets! I hope your little one enjoys making a snowman as well!
