Today is national Peanut Butter and Jelly Day! We decided to celebrate this classic food favorite by doing a simple toddler craft and by making a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich of course! 😉 My daughter is entering the “independent” phase and enjoys being able to do more things on her own. It’s so much fun to watch her learn and grow! But don’t get me wrong, it pulls at this momma’s heart strings!

Cut the individual pieces out. My printer started running out of ink, but that wasn’t going to stop us from making this craft! 🙂
Craft table ready to use!
Start by spreading the glue stick on the bread cutout and layer each consecutive piece using glue between layers.
This was a very easy craft to complete! Next, we decided to make the real thing!
I set up everything on her this plate within reach for her to make her own Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich. I used the largest of these cutters to add a fun shape to the bread.
These silicone muffin cups worked great to separate the peanut butter and jelly and made it easy for her to dip her plastic knife in for spreading.
I was amazed at how well she did! This is also a great Stratigraphy project for all of the parents having to homeschool their kids right now. My husband is an Earth Science Teacher and is currently teaching this lesson to his students.
My daughter is loving having her Daddy home and wanted to share her sandwich with him. Both of these activities are great for toddlers and kids to create and enjoy! It always helps when they can learn how to make their own lunch, too! 😉
