Back to school has started here and what better craft to make than a mess-free apple! This is perfect for kids of all ages to complete and pairs well with one of our favorite books, “How Do Apples Grow!” Free printable and tutorial below.

Directions:

Print apple outline on cardstock paper, randomly place paint dots in center of apple. I used two different color reds and white paint for more dimension.

Place paper inside gallon sized Ziploc bag and tape down the edges so it doesn’t move around while your little one pushes the paint around with their fingers.

Repeat with the bow, leaves and stem.

Allow to dry and cut out. Hold the painted paper to a window or light to see outline if paint is too opaque to see lines.

*Note: Acrylic paint will be thicker than Crayola washable paint.

Glue pieces of apple together. The bow and eyelashes are optional, but my daughter loved the girly touch to the apple!

Fall will be here soon and apple picking is one of our favorite Fall activities. This craft would be fun to complete paired with an apple book or activity during the Fall as well!
