Be Creative

The Holidays have become a lot more magical now that we can experience it through the eyes of our daughters! Everything from Holiday crafts, baking and counting down to Santa’s arrival with this Advent calendar make this time of year so much fun! Make this “Magic” Reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn on Christmas Eve so the Reindeer can find their way to your home! Free printables linked below!

Materials needed:

Free Printables!

Label:

Print out the Reindeer labels on white cardstock and the scalloped background on colored paper.

Cut them out.

Glue the front onto the scalloped background.

Glue the phrase onto the back of the same scalloped piece.

The Reindeer should be on the front of the label and the wording on the back.

Reindeer food mix:

I made pink Reindeer food to go with the girl tag. To make, add 2 cups of oats to a Ziploc bag, 8-10 drops of neon pink food coloring and 2-3 tbsp of water. Add additional water if needed. Shake bag.

Lay flat on a paper towel to dry. I went ahead and sprinkled gold glitter on top as it was drying as well (to add some sparkle)! 😉

Combine your oats, marshmallows, crushed candy canes and sprinkles into a bowl. I used pink oats, marshmallows, pink sprinkles, and gold glitter only for the girl mix. You can see the differences above.

Assembly:

Pour the mixes into your ornaments. I didn’t have a funnel on hand, rolling a piece of cardstock and placing it in the opening of the ornament worked just as well! 🙂

The filled ornaments!

Tie a bow on top of the ornaments with desired ribbon.

I like how they both turned out a little different. The possibilities are endless with the various combinations you could use! We decided to hang ours on the tree to display until our girls sprinkle them on Christmas Eve. ♥
