Be Creative

We are really enjoying the geometric art trend right now! The possibilities are endless when creating fun, unique art pieces! We have already explored geometric art using chalk as seen in this post! My daughter really enjoyed helping to create different shapes and seeing the finished results. We found this paper mache Tulip at Target. You can use any shape you would like!

Materials needed:

Randomly place the tape in different directions. We decided to only do the top of the flower, but you can do this however you would like! 🙂

Craft table ready to use! I used these silicone muffin cups to separate the paint. I mixed the pink and white paint colors to create a light pink.

Start by stippling the paint over the area with tape. Doing this area first will allow it to start drying while moving on to the next section.

Finish painting the rest of the flower. We left the edges natural, but you could paint them if you wanted!

Let dry for at least one hour. Once dry, slowly start to pull up the tape pieces from the corners.

The finished product turned out really cute! I think using this same technique on paper mache letters for a kids room or these wooden cross cutouts for Sunday School would be really pretty also! I hope you enjoy this craft! 🙂
