My oldest Daughter loves sensory bins! A great way to also make them educational is by incorporating numbers, letters or puzzle pieces for them to seek and find and put together! Kid’s love colors, shapes, numbers, letters and finding things so this bin is education and fun all-in-one! Check out this Flower Puzzle Sensory Bin for another fun activity! I’ve included a list of materials as well as a tutorial below for you to make this bin for your little ones!

Materials needed:
- 12″ x 12″ Clear Scrapbook Case
- Wooden Alphabet Puzzle
- 2″ Wooden Tires – painted black
- Foam Cubes
- Crayon Erasers
- Pencil Erasers
- Spiky Balls
- Rice
- Dried Great Northern Beans – place beans in a gallon Ziploc bag, add a few drops of yellow acrylic paint and a pump of hand sanitizer, shake to evenly coat beans and lay beans flat on a sheet to dry.
Directions:
Place the Alphabet puzzle pieces into the base of the bin.
Cover the letters with rice.
Place the wheels in the base of the bin and start to form the bus with the yellow beans.
Form windows and door with foam cubes.
Add additional sensory items.
Place puzzle base beside bin for your little one to complete.
Have your little one find the letters and match them to the puzzle. My Daughter really loved this activity! I plan to do the same concept with the lowercase letters as well! Check out my Instagram to see a short video tutorial as well!
